Bob vs Horde — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Seneku Design ("we", "us", "our") handles information in Bob vs Horde (com.senekudesign.bobvshorde) on Android. It replaces the earlier version that was hosted on Google Sites.

The short version

  • The game is free and shows ads. Those ads are non-personalised everywhere — we do not build an advertising profile of you and do not use your data to target advertising.
  • If you use the optional Player Account, Unity gives you an ID so your progress can be saved and synced. You never give us your name or email.
  • If you enter the leaderboards, the display name you choose and your scores are public to other players.
  • We collect crash and performance data to keep the game working.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

Our other mobile games are covered by a separate policy, because they are built on a different technology stack and handle data differently.

Who is responsible for your data

Seneku Design is the trading name of an independent one-person game studio based in Sweden. It is not a registered company — it is operated by a sole trader, and that individual is the data controller for the processing described here. Contact us at senekudesign@gmail.com.

If you need the controller's full identity in order to exercise a legal right or bring a complaint to a data protection authority, email us and we will provide it.

Unity, Google and our advertising partners act as independent controllers for the data they collect through their own SDKs, under their own privacy policies, linked below.

Advertising

Bob vs Horde is free and funded by advertising. Ads are delivered through Unity LevelPlay, a mediation service that requests ads from several advertising networks on our behalf.

Ads in Bob vs Horde are non-personalised. They are chosen from general context — such as the app you are in and your coarse region — rather than from your interests or your history across other apps. We do not build an advertising profile of you, and we do not use your game data to target advertising.

To request and measure an ad, and to detect fraudulent or invalid traffic, ad providers may process:

  • Your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID) — a resettable identifier you control from your device settings.
  • Device and app information — device model, operating system version, language, screen and network type.
  • IP address, from which an approximate (typically city-level) location can be derived. The game does not request GPS or precise location permission.
  • Ad interaction data — which ads were shown, viewed or completed.

You can reset or delete your advertising ID, and opt out of ad personalisation generally, under Settings → Privacy → Ads on your Android device.

See the Unity player privacy policy for how Unity handles advertising data.

Player account and leaderboards

The game uses Unity Gaming Services for its optional online features.

  • Player Account (optional). When you use it, Unity generates a Player ID — a random identifier, not your name or email — so your progress can be saved and synced between sessions.
  • Leaderboards (optional). If you take part in the global rankings, the display name you choose and your scores are stored and shown to other players. Please don't use your real name if you'd rather not be identifiable.

Both features are optional. If you never use them, no account data is created.

Google Play services

  • Purchases. In-app purchases are handled by Google Play Billing through Unity Purchasing. Google processes the payment — we never see or store your card details or billing address. We receive only confirmation that a purchase completed, so we can unlock what you bought.
  • Play Games and Play Integrity. Where the game uses Google Play's game services or its anti-abuse checks, Google processes your Play account identifier and signals about the device and app to provide those features and to detect tampering.

See the Google Privacy Policy.

Diagnostics and stability

We collect crash reports, performance data and device identifiers to find and fix bugs and to keep the game running properly across different phones. This is used for diagnostics only — never to advertise to you, and never sold.

Legal bases (EEA / UK)

  • Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) — providing the game features you ask for, including your Player Account, leaderboard entries and in-app purchases.
  • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) — keeping the game stable and secure, diagnosing crashes, preventing fraud and invalid traffic, and showing non-personalised advertising to fund a free game.

We do not rely on consent for advertising, because we do not run personalised advertising in this game. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy before the change ships.

How long data is kept

  • Game progress on your device — until you delete it or uninstall the game.
  • Player Account and leaderboard data — until you ask us to delete it, or the service is retired.
  • Crash and performance data — only as long as needed to investigate the problems it was collected for.
  • Advertising data — retained by the relevant ad provider under its own schedule.

Your rights

If you are in the EEA or the UK you have the right to access your personal data and to request its correction or erasure, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw any consent you have given.

To delete your Player Account and your leaderboard scores, email senekudesign@gmail.com and we will process the request within the time the law allows. It helps if you include the display name you used, since that is usually the only way we can find your entries — we hold nothing else that identifies you.

You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Sweden this is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

Children

Bob vs Horde is rated Everyone 10+, so we expect younger players. Two things follow from that, and they apply to every player regardless of age:

  • Advertising is non-personalised, so no advertising profile is built from a child's play, and no behavioural targeting takes place.
  • We ask for nothing personal. There are no names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, photos, precise location or messaging between players.

The one thing worth a parent's attention is the leaderboard display name, which is public — it should not be a real name. In-app purchases are protected by Google Play's parental controls, and we recommend turning on purchase authentication on any device a child uses. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact senekudesign@gmail.com and we will delete it.

International transfers

Unity, Google and our advertising partners process data on servers in the United States and other countries. Where personal data leaves the EEA or the UK, those providers rely on their own safeguards, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Security

Data sent by the game is encrypted in transit. We hold very little ourselves, so the practical risk to you is low — but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the game changes. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at this address. This URL will remain stable.
