Stillmaking
Privacy policy
Last updated 3 October 2026
Stillmaking is a project-tracking app published by Seneku Design. This policy covers the iOS app. The Seneku website has a separate privacy policy.
Your projects stay on your device
Your profile, preferences, projects, finish lines, next actions, notes, links, session history and imported photos are stored in the app’s storage on your device. Suggestions use rules that run on your device.
Stillmaking has no app account, developer-operated cloud sync, advertising, tracking or remote product analytics. We do not receive your project content through an app server. The app does not send your text or photos to an AI service or use them for training.
Photos and permissions
Using the camera or photo library is optional. The app asks for the relevant access when you choose to add a photo. Selected photos are copied into app-owned storage, and smaller display copies may be created. You can change access in iOS Settings.
Original images may contain embedded metadata, such as the date or location where they were taken. Exports that include full-size photos keep the original files and their metadata. Check what you are sharing before sending an export to someone else. Removing an app-owned photo does not remove the original from your photo library.
Optional reminders
Reminders are off by default. If you enable them, the app requests notification permission and schedules reminders locally for session timers, blocker review dates, paused-project returns or a weekly look back. No push server receives your project data. Notification text can appear on your lock screen according to your iOS preview settings. You can turn reminders off in the app or change permission and preview settings in iOS.
Purchases
The optional lifetime unlock is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Apple processes payment and provides purchase information to the app through its store services. The app uses that information to unlock the shelf, restore ownership and respond to refunds or revocations. We do not receive your payment card details, and project content is not sent with purchase requests.
The app keeps the last known unlock status on your device for offline use. Ownership is not included in project backups. Apple’s services are covered by Apple’s privacy policy.
Backups and sharing
You choose when to export and where to send the file through the device share sheet. A full backup is a ZIP containing project records, a readable Markdown summary and, if selected, original photos. You can also export individual projects or a gallery recap. The app does not encrypt these exports. The destination you choose may store or sync them under its own terms.
Stillmaking does not automatically sync your work between devices. Your device’s backup settings may include copies of app data through Apple. Losing a device or removing the app can remove local work, so keep a usable backup somewhere you trust. We cannot recover projects from a developer server.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your local records remain until you edit, replace or delete them, or remove the app and its data. Pausing or setting down a project keeps its content. Deleting a project hides it from the app straight away, and the deletion can’t be undone in the app. Its records and app-owned photos stay on the device until you clear them in You → Data → Deleted projects, which removes them for good.
In You → Data and privacy → Delete all data, you can remove project records and app-owned project photos. This retains the cached purchase status so deleting projects does not remove your unlock. Existing exports, photo-library originals, device backups and copies held by services you chose are separate; manage those copies with the relevant app or provider.
You can read, edit and export existing projects whether or not you have bought the unlock.
Support and TestFlight
If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use it to answer your request and investigate the reported issue, retaining correspondence only as needed for support and applicable record-keeping obligations. Do not include private project notes, photos or backups unless you choose to share them. You can contact us to request access, correction or deletion of correspondence we hold.
If you test through TestFlight, Apple handles beta diagnostics and feedback under its TestFlight terms. Crash information and feedback you submit may be made available to the developer through Apple.
Websites and links
Saved reference links open only when you choose them. Opening a link, the support page or this policy visits an external website, whose hosting and other services handle the visit under that site’s policies. The Seneku website uses hosting services and website analytics as described in its website privacy policy; these are separate from the app’s local project storage.
